The San Juan was the first water in the US to be designated as fly fish only. Even though the river is infested with whirlings disease there is plenty of healthy rainbows to pick a fight with.
Dave Scadden has been pioneering pontoon boat designs for many years and is responsible for alot of the crafts that many of us fish from.
In this weeks episode we were fortunate enough to spend some time talking to fly fishing legend Fran Betters, from the Adirondack Sports shop in upstate New York.
Dave talks about the second half of fly fishing and relates a great story of one of his students who reluctantly tied a couple flies. Only after loosing all of them in the lips of some large trout was he totally hooked on the other half of fly fishing.
